Our caregivers in Kelowna have great responsibilities, including assisting with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming; managing medications; preparing meals; providing transportation; and performing light housekeeping. Caregivers also offer emotional support and companionship and may need to monitor the individual’s health and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
Personal and medical care
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Helping with mobility and physical exercises.
- Administering medications and managing appointments.
- Monitoring health conditions and documenting changes.
- Performing basic first aid during emergencies.
Household and logistical tasks
- Preparing meals and grocery shopping, sometimes with special dietary needs.
- Performing light housekeeping, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Running errands and providing transportation to appointments.
Emotional and social support
- Providing companionship and engaging in conversation.
- Offering emotional support and reassurance.
- Participating in activities to promote social and mental stimulation.
Administrative and safety tasks
- Keeping accurate records of care provided and client progress.
- Ensuring the living environment is safe and comfortable.
