Kelowna Caregivers

Our caregivers in Kelowna have great responsibilities, including assisting with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming; managing medications; preparing meals; providing transportation; and performing light housekeeping. Caregivers also offer emotional support and companionship and may need to monitor the individual’s health and report any changes to healthcare professionals. 

Personal and medical care

  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Helping with mobility and physical exercises.
  • Administering medications and managing appointments.
  • Monitoring health conditions and documenting changes.
  • Performing basic first aid during emergencies. 

Household and logistical tasks

  • Preparing meals and grocery shopping, sometimes with special dietary needs.
  • Performing light housekeeping, such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Running errands and providing transportation to appointments. 

Emotional and social support

  • Providing companionship and engaging in conversation.
  • Offering emotional support and reassurance.
  • Participating in activities to promote social and mental stimulation. 

Administrative and safety tasks

  • Keeping accurate records of care provided and client progress.
  • Ensuring the living environment is safe and comfortable.
